This is the one without the clouds

I love this assignment! I got to make the clouds myself, which consumed a little bit of my time. But what I like the most is the black and white light thing happening behind the puff. It draws attention to it, and the colours I chose are unique and I love it!

Assignment 6

I interpreted the assignment wrong, and emphasized more on the band, not on the font.

After speaking with Michael, I finally did it right. I got ideas running through my head when i saw this font, even though I'm a guy, I tried to attempt a design that would be "girl-like". I really think the heart made out of alphabets are really effective from my point of view, also the smudge lipsticks.. .

Design and composition are some of my strong points when I used to draw... colours were always my weakest. I think the names of the colours I chose were great, but the colours themselves.. not so great... The one i like the most is, "My favorite memory" colours

This project was pretty interesting as well. The interesting/intriguing part about this project is, I can see the step by step process and see what is being transformed. The font I chose for this assignment is called Adobe Caslon Pro. To me, that seems like a font that would be used in a magazine. I had to look through the newspaper to get some ideas of how an article would look like and, I think the 4-5 did the trick.

Assignment 3 - Circles, Squares, Triangles

I would think that squares would be pretty tricky in terms of placing them in design because squares have equal measurements to each side but I found it being the easiest. I love the bottom right design, i think its simple but classy in a way. Even though it's just tilted, and used the exact same rectangles, it changed the design... to me that appeals to me.

I would think that the triangle would be the easiest, but... nope. I had hard time with the triangles. But as the same as the top (rectangles), the incompleteness/inconsistency appeals to me, so in a way, I think it worked for me.. I think..

But out of all the shapes, the most fun I had were the circles. I thought of so many possible ways I could design with these. There's so many possibilities with the circles!!

This assignment was pretty straight forward, nothing too tricky, and i thought it was a proper way to start off this class by learning the basics of illustrator.

~Aspirations~

Before I came to this university, I could of went to U of Vic, but I got a scholarship here at U of L and I'm too lazy so... I decided to stay in Lethbridge (this is the simplified story of course)


I chose this program because I believe that graduating with a New Media Degree can offer a lot of jobs in the future. As we can see now, everything is done by computers and I believe New Media is the new future... if that makes any sense. Also, Allen (here in our class) told me that it's lots of fun when we had art 2030 together, isn't that right Allen?


I have many goals in life and one of them is to travel all over the place and try every food there is in the world. Second is, I want to start up my own business (something to do with New Media) in a foreign country and become rich.

Let's see... My name is Eric Choi... I was born in Seoul, South Korea but i was raised up mostly in Calgary then... moved down to Lethbridge about 3-4 years ago. My birthday's on October 29th, born in 1986, so lets do the math here; (a) 19 (b) 20 (c)21.. if u chose c, ur dumb, haha it's b, i'm 20. My hobbies are hangin out with my girlfriend, sleeping, playin basketball and workin out at the gym. I love to listen to hip-hop and rap, and a little bit of techno.
